摘要

A simple calculation method of characteristics including conductors and dielectric materials losses for asymmetrical coupled lines is described. Asymmetrical coupled lines are analyzed with the distributed circuit using c mode and pi mode. From this analysis, the characteristics of asymmetrical coupled lines are expressed as a superposition of four characteristics according to the transmission conditions. So, the attenuation constants for dielectric and conductor losses are given by application of the perturbation method for each transmission condition. Especially, the attenuation constants for dielectric losses are simply expressed with introduction of quantity of effective loss tangent. The characteristics of asymmetrical coupled lines are analyzed using these attenuation constants.
