摘要

A high intensity optically-pumped far infrared laser has been developed in order to be used for a production of gamma-ray by inverse Compton scattering. Performance of a developed optically-pumped FIR laser are presented. A collection coefficient of the laser power meter is obtained by measurement of reflectivity of the detection surface of the power meter. The output power .61 W has been obtained for the 9P(36) CO{sub}2 laser pumped 118.8 μm CH{sub}3OH laser. A linear polarization of the FIR laser beam is 93 %. A long term stability of the FIR laser power is ±1.0 % at the power of 80 % of the maximum.
