A novel hybrid seed system for plants

摘要

The demand for an efficient and universal technology for hybrid seed production for the worldwide market is increasing rapidly.Hybrid seed is produced by cross-pollination of genetically different parental lines.On cultivation,the hybrid proge-ny display superior plant growth,seed yield and a pronounced stress tolerance.However,the existing hybridization systems introduced by classical breeding methods are difficult to develop,complex to maintain,often marginally reliable and species specific.
