Proposal of certificate validation model at government public key infrastructure (GPKI)

Government Public Key Infrastructure (GPKI) has been developed for actualization of Electronic Government. A Bridge Certification Authority model is adopted with GPKI to make communication between Ministry or Agency Certification Authorities and Private Certification Authorities. However, the public key certificate validation process in the Bridge Certification Authority model is complicated for the user. To reduce this problem and make the public key certificate validation process faster, this paper proposes a new public key certificate validation model that centralizes public key certification validation process from each user to one agent, Certificate Validation Server.
