An education system for hardware constructive experiment with Java-based distributed computing technology

摘要

Hardware experiment is one of the most important theme of Information Engineering Education. The process of experiment includes several stages such as design, implementation and verification. It is much complicated for students to verify whether their designed/implemented hardwares work correctly or not. We have been developed education systems with supporting hardware verification process. Our systems have been designed with two major parts: special-purpose computer for digital system control and general-purpose personal computers/PC-UNIX machines for software development. Control software can be designed in the distributed environment, downloaded into special-purpose computer via Ethernet connectivity, and utilized for hardware verification based on digital system control.
