Multicast protocol aggregating multicast flows among edge routers

摘要

We propose a multicast protocol which aggregates multicast flows between edge routers. Multicast trees among edge routers are preset. The edge routers attach headers indicating source and destination edge routers to multicast packets. The relay routers forward the packets by looking the headers and their routing tables for multicast. Furthermore, the senders can select whether permission control is done for their data or not by the proposed protocol. This paper also reports the implementation of our protocol.
