In this paper, a case study of acoustic full-wave tomography (FWT) is presented. The cross-hole seismic data analyzed by FWT were acquired with a sparker seismic source and down-hole hydrophones at the JNC Tono test site. The estimation of source wavelet and the pre-processing of data were crucial tasks for the application of FWT. The effective work flow was examined and proposed. Firstly, the source wavelet was estimated from first arrival data. Secondly, noise such as tube-waves was removed by F-K filter and data amplitude was matched with synthetic data carefully. Then, velocity inversion and source wavelet inversion were performed alternatively. As the result, we could obtain the velocity structure over the depth interval of 300 meters between the boreholes. The result shows good agreement with other geophysical data acquired at the same site.
