The article states that the Kan-Achinsk basin (the Krasnoyarsk Territory) may become, from the year 2015 and onward, the main supplier of the power-generating coals for Russia. It is demonstrated that one of the ways for increasing the volume of production of the power-generating coals in the basin is stepping up the productive capacity of "small" strippings (the regional strippings that nowadays have insignificant productivity). The integrated technology for the removal of the overburden is described on the example of Pereslavskiy mine. This technology ensures an even distribution of the rock mass among individual blocks, thus significantly increasing the productive capacity of the stripping. The article also analyzes various process flowsheets, and points out that the increase in the coal production up to 3 million t/year is quite realistic - by using the integrated technology without transport and direct reloading, or with the motor transport, developing the stripping in two benches and extending the front of the acting benches from 1.5 up to 3 km.
