Chemical forms of water-soluble boron in field-grown komatsuna plants (Brassica campestris L.) during flowering stage.

In trials in 1996-97 Brassica campestris incorporated 11B and NMR showed higher levels of incorporation into buds and flowers than in pods or lower leaves and low levels in upper leaves. Contents of soluble B were high in buds, flowers and pods, lower in flowering stems and low in leaves. Levels of glucose and fructose were higher than those of other sugars and were higher in pods than in buds or leaves.
