One of the more important aspects for a painting contractor to consider in the construction bidding process is timely response to project sequencing. Whether the project is new construction or renovation, prompt response to a general contractor or contractual entity can set the tone for a successful project. Even before the official contract document is received, you should request a letter or notification of intent to perform your scope of work, which will allow your estimator or project manager to provide the general contractor with project sequencing. This early development of job procedures will provide you with an opportunity to determine the breakdown of manpower and time thawt should be allocated for each segment of the bid.
