The effect of late applications of foliar fertilizers on the sulfur content of spring wheat grain.

The possibility was studied of increasing the sulfur content of spring wheat grain as an important element determining grain quality. During the period of grain formation, urates and sulfates were applied as foliar fertilizers. Both of these were shown to increase the sulfur concentration in the grain when the plants had sufficient nitrogen and sulfur.
