Statistical modelling of winter hardiness of winter wheat depending on agrometeorological conditions.

The relationship between biological condition and and indicators of adaptation to winter conditions in the wheat variety Tarasovskaya 29 grown under various fertilizer regimes was studied in the central chernozem region of Russia between 1991 and 1994. Statistical models relating sugar losses and percentage of overwintered plants with meteorological conditions during the autumn-winter period enabled the winter hardiness of the crop to be evaluated.
