An experiment was conducted on a dark chestnut medium loam soil amended with 125-1500 mg Zn/kg air dry soil to determine spring wheat cv. Saratovskaya-29 seedling biomass, elements uptake from soil, and their different forms and contents in soil. Anoptimum application of 125 mg Zn/kg was observed, which increased seedling height and biomass, but which was toxic at 250-1500 mg Zn/kg, decreasing crop productivity.
