A New Species of Crotalaria L. (Leguminosae) from Zhejiang Province, China

A new species of Crotalaria L. (Leguminosae subfam. Papilionoideae), C. tiantai-ensis Y. C. Jiang, X. Y. Zhu, Y. F. Du & H. Ohashi, is described and illustrated from Zhejiang Province, China. Chinese Crotalaria L. (Papilionoideae: Leguminosae) comprises 40 species with three varieties including six aliens (Yang 1998). While identifying specimens of Crotalaria in PE, the present authors found an unknown plant. It is remarkably small but bearing mature flower and fruit. It is most similar to C. ferruginea Grah. ex Benth., and also somewhat resembles C. albida Heyne ex Roth and C. chinensis L. in having unifoliolate leaves with narrowly oblong leaflets and a raceme. Differences between the new plant and these species are as follows.
