Test of insecticides on the black vine weevils, Otiorhynchus sulcatus (F.) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae).

The effect of 17 insecticides on adult black vine weevils, Otiorhynchus sulcatus, and 18 insecticides on larvae, was determined. DMTP [methidathion], prothiophos [prothiofos], MPP [fenthion], malathion and carbosulfan were the most toxic to adults,and D-D [1,2,-dichloropropane + 1,3-dichloropropene], malathion, isoxathion, methidathion and carbosulfan were the most toxic to larvae.
