Glycated albumin is a better indicator for glucose estimation than glycated hemoglobin in gestational diabetes mellitus

The aims of this study were to identify a better indicator for estimating blood glucose levels in women with gestational diabetes mellitus and investigate the association among blood glucose, glycated albumin, and glycated hemoglobin. Conclusions The association between GA and blood glucose is significant. GA is a better indicator of glycemic excuration than A1c. An initial GA value above 12.7% and initial A1c value above 5.8% suggest a diagnosis of DMP.
