MEDICINAL PLANT RESOURCES OF SOUTHERN EASTERN GHATS OF ANDHRA PRADESH

Southern Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh stretch from the southern hank of the river Krishna to the cannery through Papi hills, Kondapalli range, Nallamalais, Yerramalais, Palakonda, Veligonda range, Horseley hills, Seshachalam hills, Nagari hills, etc. These hills have rich biodiversity with many rare, endangered and threatened plants. The present paper mainly deals with the medicinal plants used by local people. The present study deals with the medicinal resources of Southern Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh. A total of 392 species belonging to 104 families used by local traditional healers have been recorded.
