Corrigendum to Randomized, controlled, parallel-group trial of routine prophylaxis vs. on-demand treatment with sucrose-formulated recombinant factor VIII in adults with severe hemophilia A (SPINART) [J Thromb Haemost, 11 (2013) 1119-27]

The authors of the above paper wish to make corrections because as a result of an error in an electronic data file, the duration of follow-up was too long, although the number of bleeding events and injections were correct. Therefore, time-dependent outcomes such as annualized bleeding rate and number of exposure days per week were affected. The corrected values do not change the large, clinically meaningful decrease in bleeding frequency seen with routine prophylaxis. The study outcomes remain significantly positive, with no alterations to the overall conclusions of the study.
