As we consider the opportunities that lie ahead, it is important for us to look back and express our gratitude and appreciation for those that have laid the foundation for us as a Society and a specialty. These amazing rrten have extensive writings. There is no doubt that these men were visionaries. It is also clear that there is work to be done, whether you are a trainee or early or late in your career. As I share some of their ideas, think about where we have come and where we still have opportunities for growth. Consider how your own passion can be channeled to fulfill those opportunities.
