摘要

A convenient protocol for the synthesis of 2,3-diarylthiazolidin-4-one have been achieved by one-pot condensation of aryl or heteroaryl amine, aryl aldehyde and 2-mercaptopropionic acid in 3-butyl-1-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-iumtrifloroacetate as ionic liquid [BMIM][TFA] is described. Reported ionic liquid easy to make, recycle and reuse up to three times in good to excellent yields. Synthesized compounds were fully characterized by their spectroscopic data.
