FEEDING TINY SPIDERLINGS

There are many genera in the hobby which have really small spiderlings (fig. 1) such as Acanthoscurria, Cyclosternum, Cyriocosmus, Crypsidromus, Hapalopus, Heterothelle, Pseudhapalopus, some Ceratogyrus sp., etc. their tiny size, putting many people off obtaining them as they believe they require extra care, they don't have enough experience or are too fragile not wishing to spend their money on spiderlings which they think they might easily kill. Looking after these tiny babies is actually very easy as they are really tough little creatures - which they need to be to survive in the wild. Here we hope to dispel some of these fears and explain how easy they are to rear to adult. Initially, the following method was "developed" for Cyriocosmus spiderlings but has been found very useful by the authors for other genera.
