Electrochemical detection of trace heavy metal ions using a Ln-MOF modified glass carbon electrode

摘要

A novel electrochemical sensor was designed based on the metal-organic framework (MOF) modified glassy carbon electrode, which can detect trace cadmium (Cd2+) and lead (Pb2+) ions with high sensitivity. A hexagonal lanthanide MOF, ZJU-27 was synthesized by the solvothermal method from Yb(NO3)(3)center dot 5H(2)O with 1,3,5-benzene-trisbenzoic acid (H3BTB) in the presence of 2-FBA and then used to modify the glassy carbon electrode. Excellent repeatability, high stability and practical application in real samples for the detection of Cd2+ and Pb2+ were demonstrated by the electrochemical sensor. The sensitivity of the sensor toward Pb2+ was calculated with a detection limit of 0.228 ppb.
