摘要

A full-length complementary DNA (cDNA) encoding an actin protein was isolated from a zebra mussel testis library and subsequently sequenced. The cDNA consisted of 1,484 base pairs with an open reading frame of 1,128 base pairs. It encoded a protein of 376 amino acids with high similarity to cytoskeletal actin sequences. PCR and Northern blot indicated the presence of the mRNA for this actin in testes, ovaries, and siphons.
