Response of Castor (Ricinus communis L.)under K Stress Conditions

A green house experiment was conducted in a red sandy loam (Alfisol)to study the castor response to graded levels of K application and to establish its critical limit.Graded levels of K application resulted in significant increase in dry matter yield,K concentration and uptake in castor at 90 days after sowing.Critical K limits for castor plant at this stage was observed to be 1.72 per cent and for soil 225 kg K ha~(-1).
