A field experiment was conducted during the year 1999-2000 to study the effect of individual and combined application of nitrogen and potassium through foliage on yield and yield attributing characters of flood affected rice cv.TRY 1.Nitrogen and potassium at a concentration of 0.5 per cent and 0.8 per cent through urea and muriate of potash,respectively,were sprayed on foliage one week after inundation of flood water.It was found that combined application of 0.5 per cent N and 0.8 per cent K significantly improved the grain filling,test weight and grain yield.
