Endometriosis A Review on New Advances in Clinical Diagnosis and Management

Endometriosis is a common, chronic medical condition that affects reproductive-age women in the form of endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity. The most common symptoms are pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, and infertility. To control the pain and to obstruct the growth of endometriotic lesions, patients are administered hormonal and non-hormonal medical treatments. Surgical excision is offered for those failing medical treatments and having prolonged pain symptoms.
