摘要

A new empirical equation for estimating liquid slug holdup inhorizontal and slightly inclined two-phase flow is developed as a function of mixture velocity,liquid viscosity and inclination angle. The proposed equation is based on measured data consists of 316 data points for inclined flow, which inclination angles ranging from -10deg to 9deg form horizontal. Based on the present measured data and data from other sources, the new equation is shown to be a significant improvement over the published models for both the horizontal and inclined slug flow.
