摘要

Mung bean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) is an important pulse crop grown in kharif and also in spring and summer in West Bengal. Cercospora leaf spot caused by Cercospora canescens causes up to 61% grain yield (Iqbal et al 1995). Although different chemicals including systemic fungicides have been used for the management of this disease (Khunti et al 2002), use of non-conventional chemical is alternative approaches for plant disease management that induces dynamic defence mechanism in host against theirpotential pathogen has been achieved in many crops in field condition (Maiti et al 2005; Dasgupta et al 1999). Therefore, present experiment was conducted during summer season of 2005 and 2006 to find out the effect of some non-conventional chemicals against their Cercospora leaf spot in mung bean and the results are discussed.
