The effect of complete feeds containing rapeseed oilmeal with a different fat content, faba bean and field pea, on nutrient digestibility and nitrogen balance was estimated in Polish Large White X Duroc pigs, initially 30 kg. Complete feed PT-1 containing 15% 00 rapeseed oilmeal and 15% faba bean and field pea, supplemented by 00 rapeseed oilmeal did not have a negative influence on nutrient digestibility (except for crude fat, P<0.05). Finishing pigs fed on rapeseed oilmeal had lower N retention and poorer utilization of digested N (P<0.05), compared with controls and pigs given rapeseed oilmeal, faba bean and field pea. Adding 15% rapeseed oilmeal with a higher fat content, together with faba bean and field pea (5%), had a negative effect on nutrient digestibility (except for crude fibre and N-free extract) and on N retention and utilization. A complete substitution of soyabean oilmeal for rapeseed oilmeal, used together with faba bean and field pea in complete feeds for finishing pigs, influenced nutrient digestibility and N retention and utilization negatively. An addition of skim milk had a positive effect on N balance.
