摘要

An experimentally straightforward procedure has been developed to prepare functionally diverse aryl methyl [~(35)S]sulfones from sodium methane[~(35)S]sulfonate. High specific activity methane[ ~(35)S]sulfonyl chloride was prepared from sodium methane[ ~(35)S]-sulfonate and reduced with zinc metal to afford zinc methane[~(35)S]sulfinate. This intermediate was immediately subjected to copper (I) catalyzed coupling with a variety of aryl iodides to afford aryl methyl [~(35)S]sulfones.
