PA waits on new Congo partner approval

PA Resources is waiting for government approval for a new partner on its Mer Profonde Sud deepwater block off Congo Brazzaville. The Swedish company ended up with an 85% stake in the acreage after operator Murphy Oil pulled the plug on its interests in the country, following its decision to abandon the troubled Azurite field that was carved out of the southeast of the block.
