Harvest reveals early Gabon FPSO figures

Harvest Natural Resources has revealed reserve figures for its touted FPSO project off Gabon while engineering studies continue. The US independent drilled the successful Tortue well earlier this year on its Dussafu Marin block to add to the existing Ruche, Walt Whitman and Moubenga oil finds. Tortue, in 380ft (116m) of water, discovered 42ft (13m) of net pay in the Gamba formation and 123ft (37m) of pay in stacked reservoirs in the Dentale formation. Before drilling, Harvest put mean reserve potential at 24m bbl in the Dentale and 22m bbl in the Gamba. A sidetrack also uncovered around 65ft (20m) of oil pay in the Dentale but due to a stuck down-hole tool, logging operations in the sidetrack were terminated before pressure data could be collected.
