Harvest considers Gabon FPSO options after US $100m boost

Harvest Natural Resources has received a US $100m boost that enables it to look at options for the future of its Dussafu marginal FPSO project off Gabon. The financially troubled US independent has managed to sell its assets in Venezuela to private partner CT Energy for the $100m that could prove its lifeline. It also has its Dussafu acreage up for sale while simultaneously considering an exploration well to try and lift reserves to a more commercial figure. Last week it said it will continue to offer Gabon up for sale but that: "The decision of the board regarding how to use the remaining proceeds will be based on its determination of what is in the best interests of Harvest and its stockholders at the time a decision is made. Harvest will also continue to seek opportunities to sell its Gabon assets.
