Repsol adds to Algerian gas trove

Repsol has made a large gas discovery in Algeria near the border with Libya. The find was made in the Sud-Est Illizi block neighbouring the In Amenas acreage in the southeast of the country and adds to a gas find already made there last year. Repsol said its TGE-1 well encountered a 165ft (50m) col- umn of gas, and preliminary testing produced gas flows of 235.000 Mcm/d.
