Biotechnology in the reproduction of domestic animals-current status and prospects.

A review of the subject is presented under the following headings: (1) use of biotechnological methods in the reproduction of domestic animals; (2) production of cattle embryos; (3) sex diagnosis; (4) cloning mammalian embryos; (5) production of transgenic animals. Much of the work described was undertaken on sheep, pigs, horses, cattle and rabbits.
