Shell has successfully appraised its deepwater pre-salt Leopard gas discovery off Gabon although details are being kept tight. The Ministry of Petroleum and Hydrocarbons confirmed that: "The main gas field -Leopard - discovered by Shell in 2014, currently in appraisal phase with the successful drilling of well Leopard-2 under testing, has confirmed the extension of this field."
