Hyper finalises Pacific rig for deep Guinea wildcat

Hyperdynamics has signed a final agreement with Pacific Drilling for a rig for a deepwater wildcat off Guinea next April. The Pacific Bora drillship is currently in Nigeria. The rig contractor is hoping to be awarded a two well contract off Nigeria imminently but the drillship will then mobilise to Guinea for the 350m bbl Fatala well. The problem still remains that Hyperdynamics has yet to raise the money needed to pay the US $225,000 day rate.
