HHI/Doosan ally to reduce reliance on offshore imports

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (DHIC) are to reduce costs by localising equipment and materials for the offshore. The pair signed a memorandum of understanding to develop equipment for offshore plants such as FPSOs and TLPs by sharing engineering and construction technologies and abilities. The aim is to increase competitiveness by reducing the reliance on imported equipment and materials.
