Erin Energy has narrowed the list of drilling candidates for its exploration well off Nigeria to four and has also brought in a new production well. The US independent, formerly Camac Energy, is operator of OMLs 120 and 121 with the former containing the producing Oyo field. It has just completed a new Oyo-7 well using Transocean's Sedco Express with the rig now having moved to Eni for one well, also off Nigeria. The new Oyo-7 well was completed in around 1,000ft (300m) of water and is expected to produce 7,000 b/d of oil.
