San Leon Energy has increased its interests in two blocks in Morocco, including one where Genel is currently drilling a deepwater exploration well. UK minnow San Leon has taken over the interests held by cash poor Petromaroc in the Sidi Moussa and Tarfaya Onshore blocks. In the former it has agreed to buy a 1.5% interest in return for assuming the relevant share in the minimum work obligations. Genel is currently drilling the Nour prospect on the block with the Noble Paul Romano semisub. The well is targeting around 300m bbl of oil in both Upper and Middle Jurassic carbonates.
