摘要

A modified amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) technique is described using sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) as an example. Fluorescence-labelled primers were used in selective amplifications. The amplified fragments were detected on denaturing polyacrylamide gels using an automated ALF DNA sequencer with the fragment option. The modified AFLP technique avoids the use of isotopes or silver staining, but gives a much higher resolution than other AFLP detection systems.
