Statoil has added another multi-Tcf discovery to its reserves off Tanzania bringing the total to 20 Tcf. The Piri find was the company's sixth out of six wells drilled in Block 2 and adds another two to three Tcf to the total reserves for the acreage. The new gas discovery was made in the same Lower Cretaceous sandstones as the gas discovery in Zafarani drilled in 2012 and adds to the other existing Lavani, Tangawizi and Mronge finds.
