Maersk chooses Angola TLP contenders

Maersk has chosen the three consortia that will conduct the compensated design competition for the tension leg platform for its deepwater Chissonga project off Angola. The groupings of Samsung Heavy Industries with Amec, and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) with Houston Offshore Engineering, will take on Modec. The design competition is expected to be completed at the end of this year or early next with an award by the end of the first quarter of 2014.
