PetroSA/Sasol take block in new JV

PetroSA and Sasol have signed a technical cooperation permit (TCP) agreement with Sasol to explore a block in South Africa's offshore. The pair will explore shallow water Block 3A/4A in the Orange Basin along the western margin of South Africa. The block covers 19,066sq km in water depths up to 1,640ft (500m) and is south of the Ibhubesi gas field which Sunbird is currently trying to develop (see AOG 6 June).
