Oil India Gabon first

Oil India has made an oil discovery onshore Gabon - its first ever international operated discovery. The find was made with the third and final well in the current programme on the Shakthi block. The first two wells were dry but the Lassa well flowed crude at up to 225 b/d and gas at 4,330 cm/d. It was drilled to a total depth of 6,695ft (2,041m) around 250km from Libreville by a Punji Lloyd rig.
