Angolan 'super-size' pre-salt giant ready for drilling

A new rig is ready to spud a multi-billion barrel pre-salt wildcat in the Kwanza Basin in Angola for Cobalt International as the hunt for new giants begins. Petroserv's SSV Catarina new sixth generation semisub was delivered in mid-March under a three-year contract and is expected to spud around the end of this month following acceptance testing.
