Total drilling in Mauritania

Total is drilling ahead on a well onshore Mauritania with Repsol to follow in neighbouring acreage. The well is being drilled in Ta7 in the Taoudeni Basin where 1,000km of new 2D seismic was shot in 2010. This was the same year that Total completed its first wildcat in the basin in Ta8. Results from the well were disappointing. The well had been expected to take around three months but took more than three times as long.
