Still early days, but judging from AID's latest regular snapshot of underlying consumer car buying trends in Europe, the region's running-cost conscious diesel car buyers have so far failed to switch back to petrol-powered cars. This suggests that the long-tested recipe for the most energy-efficient automotive travel that served Europe's cost-conscious motorists for the past two decades remains very much alive and kicking.
