摘要

Internet of Things (IoT) was an emerging technology where things of everyday objects could be connected to Internet The IoT technology did provide an interface for different technologies to enable new application with the help of embedded physical devices with smart thinking capability.In IoT network gateways would have an important role for connecting heterogeneous networks to internet. The IoT Gateways must be smart enough to perform collected operations depending on the respective application. The significant actions of IoT Gateway were integration of wireless sensornetwork and mobile network, protocol mapping, managing the endpoint network, providing secure and safe communication between various end point networks. We proposed a Gateway Pi, a framework of IoT smart and secure gateway integrating with Raspberry Pi board. This proposal did make the IoTgateway as a smart thing and function like a normal PC. Apart from native gateway functionalities, this paper emphasized the security for IoT gateway. In this paper we proposed three measures to provide security for IoT gateways, which makes the gateway as a firewall. And we implemented acost effective and reliable IoT architecture for smart irrigation using our Gateway Pi.
