The article deals with the issue of preparation and research of unstructured data obtained from social networks using Big Data technology, the term of which is understood as any data sets large enough and complex to be processed by traditional means of working with data. The analysisof data collection systems and services, including social networks, offering a wide range of opportunities. Among them there are quite large systems, as well as projects that help to legally collect information. Experimentally obtained code in Python to collect information from the open socialnetwork Vkontakte optimal functionality for the effective solution of specific tasks. The description of the web-interface of the software system is presented. The purpose and functionality of the developed system with details on the tabs of the program are described in detail. It should benoted that the information collected is to some extent able to characterize any registered user of the social network. In the framework of the study, the design of means of collection andpresentation of unstructured information obtained from open social networks to solve the problem of building a social profile of a person. In conclusion, it is concluded that the information collected in one way or another is able to characterize the user of the social network.
